Ogden’s stately Union Station continues to anchor the cities iconic 25th street as it has done for nearly a century. It stands, as a reflection of the longstanding history and dynamics of Ogden City as the Crossroads of the American West. It is a living reminder of Ogden’s participation in America’s growth and prosperity.

It was March 8, 1869 when the Union Pacific Railroad steamed into Ogden, soon to meet its destiny in uniting the nation in rail, three months later at Promontory Summit, Utah Territory. On this single day, the seed was sown, for Ogden to become a rail center whose story, is unparalleled as it participated in the development of Utah, the West and the Nation, and became a call to peoples from across America as well as from many lands looking for opportunities.

Join us on May 12, 2018 for a trip down memory lane as we begin to dream about what the future holds for the Union Station. We will celebrate the past and highlight the present. We will dream together of a future for this iconic landmark and adjacent property, where we will “Leave our own Legacy” for future generations to learn from and celebrate the rich history of Ogden and the state of Utah.
