The Junior League of Ogden will host its Annual Gala Saturday, May 5, 2018, at HUB801 in Ogden. Unique this year, the League’s Annual Gala and Annual Dinner events will be combined to showcase and celebrate the women of the League and recognize them publically for their service.

Event guests will hear from League members about what drew them to the organization and committed them to its mission of voluntarism. Guests will also hear from community members who’ve been directly impacted by the League’s programs and services.

“Over the years we began to feel that the Gala was missing a key feature: our member impact. So we're combining the two events and giving the community a better opportunity to see the real impact of the League and the women within it," said Kim Bowsher, Junior League of Ogden President. “We hope this new approach will uplift and inspire as we celebrate the work these women have completed as well as the work they are just beginning to undertake.”

In addition to better understanding the League’s mission and impact, guests will enjoy an evening of fun and delight. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., guests can enjoy the cocktail hour while playing a variety of fundraising games and browsing silent auction items, where experiences like glider airplane flights and distillery tours will be available to the highest bidder.

The Annual Gala is the League’s primary fundraiser. Event proceeds support many of the League’s programs, including the Women’s and Children’s Health Connections, the Oasis Community Garden project, and the League’s latest initiative that focuses on human trafficking awareness.

“These are just a few of the ways these women contribute to the city they live in. We know none of this would be possible without the support of the greater community,” said Maureen Jordan, Annual Gala Committee Co-Chair. “This Annual Gala is one of the ways we get that support. More than anything, these volunteers can’t wait to host this event to thank Ogden for allowing us to do the work we do.”

Annual Gala tickets are available for purchase online at www.juniorleagueogden.org/annualgala for $60 per person and include a gourmet dinner by Peddlers Catering and live entertainment from local artist, Gage Kelby.

“A lot of work goes into making this a success, and we are excited to celebrate our community and the women - past and present - of the Junior League of Ogden,” said Allison Ianniello, Annual Gala Committee Co-Chair.
