The Utah Science Technology and Research Initiative (USTAR) plays a critical role in transforming ideas and research into disruptive products and services that promote the continued growth and diversification of Utah’s economy.
Located at Hill Air Force Base’s Falcon Hill Research Park, the USTAR Innovation Center is a state-of-the-art incubation and lab space that promotes collaborative experimentation, analysis, prototyping and development between the U.S. government,
academic, and industry leaders. The Center features a portfolio of resources and equipment to test ideas and co-create innovation solutions in the aerospace/defense, advanced materials, composites, and outdoor product sectors.
Join Our Innovation Community
The USTAR Innovation Center features co-working space, private offices, meeting space, and a premier prototyping lab with specialized equipment and tools. Our community provides state- of-the-art amenities, mentorship, and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, researchers, and private companies alike.
Our Innovation Center is designed to provide deep science and technology lab space at affordable rates. We offer the following levels of membership:
• Incubation: 50 or fewer employees, less than $1 million in revenue, less than $5 million in private funding
- Academic: Individuals employed by a Utah non-profit institution of higher education
- General: Companies that exceed incubation criteria, federal or state government, non-profits
Hourly & Daily Rates
In addition to our memberships, the USTAR Innovation Center offers hourly and daily access to our prototyping lab, co-working spaces, and conference rooms. This is based on availability and a first come, first served basis.
Our co-working space, private offices, and private suites all come with access to conference rooms, kitchen and break areas, mailroom, and common areas. Lab access provides use of equipment, tools and training, as well as use of supplies and materials at cost.
