A Discussion with Slade Opheikens, President & CEO, R&O Construction
--Slade Opheikens’s father, Orluff, founded the family business of R&O Construction in 1980. Slade started at R&O in 1987 as a teenager and has since worked up through nearly every operations position at the company, including: laborer, superintendent, project manager, chief operating officer and president and CEO. Slade directs a team of eight Vice Presidents to ensure that each of R&O’s projects receives the management, resources and attention required to exceed client expectations. Slade works actively with each of the Vice Presidents to ensure they are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and have the resources they each need to be successful. He takes a keen interest in the growth and well-being of his staff, understanding that experienced and enthusiastic team members translate to excellent projects for R&O’s clients.
